Movie Talk : Brothers

Since I need to go to the bank to submit my study loan application,I decided to watch Brothers because this movie still running in the cinema. Been reading Brother's review for the past 2 weeks and most of people on my twitter timeline give a double thumbs up for this movie. Watch it alone because I always love watching movie at cinema alone so that I can focus more.

First half of this movie,I cried like a baby. I swear it's so emotional and there's so many heartbreaking scenes so yeah my tears flow like a waterfalls in Baahubali. The second half is more on power packed action scenes,but I'm still crying. Brothers already collected 78 crore in domestic market and 106 crore worldwide collection.

Brothers is the official remake of Hollywood movie "Warrior". David (Akshay Kumar) and Monty Fernandes (Sidharth Malhotra) are brothers from another mother. David is a son of alcoholic Gary (Jackie Shroff) and Maria (Shefali Shah) while Monty is Gary's son with Sara,woman he has affair with. After Sara's death, Gary took Monty to stay with him and kind hearted Maria and David accept Monty like their own family. Gary can't control his drinking habit accidentally killed Maria during Monty's birthday after they're having an argument regarding Gary's affair. David who witnessed that incident can't forgive his father and accused Monty is the reason his mother died.

A few years later Gary being release from prison after serving his sentence. Only Monty who fetch him at the prison. David who become a physics teacher married with Jenny (Jacqueline Fernandes). They have a daughter named Maria who suffered with weak kidney and heart disease. They're been facing financial problem since Maria needs regular treatment at the hospital.

Like his father, Monty is a street fighter too. David being expelled from school because the principal found out that he joined street fight to earn extra money for his daughter. When Mr Briganza announced that he organizes Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competition "Right To Fight" at India, both Monty and David worked so hard to put themselves in that competition. Monty being trained by his father while David being trained by Pasha Ali,son of former MMA fighter.

Both of them managed to become the contestants,together with other MMA fighters across the globe. The final round between Fernandes brothers become a huge talk across India. At the end of the fight,David win the competition and forgive his brother and father.

My opinion about Brothers:

1) Best performance ever by Sid. He's working so hard for this movie and it really shows in every scene. He portray his anger,frustration,sadness,love brilliantly in this movie. He and Akki equally shine in Brothers

2) Akki proves that he can do action and romance at the same time. It's amazing to watch a guy at his age still able to do all action scenes by himself.

3) Jackie and Shefali deserve a credit for their acting. Jackie is so natural and he's the reason why I cried like a baby. Shefali never disappoints me with her acting. She only appear in flashback scene but left with such a huge impact. I wish she has more scenes in this movie.

4) Jac Fernandez plays a mother for the first time and I think she's good,but like Shefali, she doesn't appear much.

5) The soundtracks are good. Brothers Anthem and Sapna Jahan are the winner. You can feel the fighting spirit when Brothers Anthem is playing.

6) The item song Mera Naam Mary is unnecessary,waste of time and eye torture for 5 minutes. For movie like Brothers, item song is not needed. 

7) The duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes are little long and draggy for me. 2 hours should be fine.

8) I wish they extend the ending and show what happen to David's daughter.

Overall,7/10 for Brothers. I haven't seen the original Warriors so I can't compare which one is better. If you love both Sid and Akki,do watch this movie.

Movie Talk : Bajrangi Bhaijaan

To be honest, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is not on my must watch movie list for 2015. I'm not a big fan of Salman Khan or Kareena Kapoor, so yeah that's the reason. But after I watched the trailer, I changed my mind. The trailer looked promising and the child actor Hashaali Malhotra grabbed my attention. Then I promised to myself that I'm going to watch this movie,but with decent expectation,because Kabir Khan's previous movie Ek Tha Tiger,failed to impress me.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan managed to enter 100 crore club in 3 days only. I'm not suprise because when it comes to The Khans movie, 100 crore in less than a week is a normal scenario. Until this date, Bajrangi Bhaijaan already entered 200 crore club with 256++ crore box office collection in India.

I managed to watch this movie last Sunday with Didiey. And here's the saddest part. In Malaysia, people rarely watch hindi movie in cinema. So we pretty confident that the tickets will be available until the showtime. Surprise surprise we failed to get a ticket because it's sold out and selling fast for the whole day. Weird scenario in Malaysia,second week of screening and tickets are sold out. Almost cried at the cinema because we've been planning to watch BB since monday. But finally, we checked at other cinema and got ourselves the tickets. THANK GOD!

Shahida (Harshaali Malhotra) a mute girl from Pakistan come to India with her mother to pray for her speech to be returned at Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya's Dargah in Delhi. On their way back to Pakistan, Shahida gets lost and separated from her mother and can't pass the border. Alone in foreign country, Shahida boards a freight train, reaching Kurukshetra, India. At Kurukshetra she meet Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi or also known as Bajrangi (Salman Khan) and follows him.

Bajrangi assumes that Shahida is hindu and separated from her parents. And since Shahida is not able to speak, she can't tell Bajrangi where she comes from. Bajrangi takes initiative to guess which city she comes from,by mentioning all cities in India during their jorney back to Bajrangi's house at Delhi. He asks his girlfriend Rasika's (Kareena Kapoor) permission to let Munni (name that Bajrangi gives to Shahida) stays with them until they find her parents.

One day Bajrangi found out that Munni is a muslim from Pakistan,due to incident when he found Munni is eating chicken at their neighbour's house,Munni enters the mosque to pray and Munni is clapping her hand and kiss the tv when Pakistan won the cricket tournament. 

He determine to send Munni back to her country,but because of she doesn't has a passport,she can't apply the visa. The travel agent said that he can help with other way but he lied to Bajrangi. Instead of sending Munni back to Pakistan, he sells Munni to brothel's owner. Luckily Bajrangi come to rescue and he decided to send Munni back to her home on his own.

They illegally entered Pakistan via secret tunnel,almost caught by a local police and become most wanted person in Pakistan because the local authority think he's a Indian spy. The local journalist Chand Nawab (Nawazzudin Siddiqui) helps Bajrangi to locate Munni's village. During their journey, Chand Nawab records a video. Finally they manage to send Munni back to her home but Bajrangi has been caught by the police. To help him, Chand Nawab upload the video of their journey on Youtube and grabs people's attention towards the situation.

At the end of the story, the police release Bajrangi and let him go back to India,and Shahida/Munni is able to speak.

What I like about Bajrangi Bhaijaan:

1. Kabir Khan's dialogue is brilliant. When it comes to the funny part, we laughed so hard. When it comes to the emotional part, we cried. I'm emotionally attached to the story. One of the best hindi movie that I ever since in my life. 

2. Bajrangi and Munni's character are beautifully written. For me,this is Salman Khan's best performance ever. Instead of doing action movies, I prefer Sallu in romantic/comedy films. Couldn't find a word to describe how amazing he's in BB. He deserves to be nominate in Best Actor category next year. Let's talk about Harshaali Malhotra. I want to thank Kabir Khan for introducing Harshaali to us. This little girl is only 7 years old,but her talent is sooooo big even the senior actress can't act like her. It's not easy to act as mute person. Her facial expression and body language are mindblowing. I will be upset if she doesn't win best debut actress next year.

3. Nawazuddin Sidduqui never failed to impress me. He always nail every character that been given to him. He's funny and at the same time,give a huge impact in this movie.

4. The soundtracks. Pritam is one of my favourite music director,and he never failed to deliver a beautiful soundtracks in every film that he's working in. Tu Jo Mila is the winner. Enough said. I cried many times.

5. The cinematography is so beautiful and I think I wanna pack my bag and go to Kashmir now.

What I don't like about Bajrangi Bhaijaan:

1. The female lead for this movie should be Harshaali instead of Kareena because she has the least screen time and doesn't give any impact. Sorry not sorry. For me,it would be better if she's not in this movie.

Afterall,10/10 for Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Still running at the cinema so go and watch this movie.

Movie Talk : Hamari Adhuri Kahani

It's been awhile since the last time I watched hindi movie and cry from the beginning to the end of the story. Lagi lagi love story. Tipu la tak nangis tengok Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or Mann kan. Laju je air mata keluar macam air terjun. But that was 15 years ago. So technically after 15 years I found the movie yang buat hati banjir.

Hamari Adhuri Kahani is not your typical love story. It's something else. Based on true story,memang kau tak boleh ada high expectations la. I watched this movie last week,alone at KLCC. 2 jam air mata tak berhenti mengalir lepastu siap tak cukup tissue T_T Dah la tengok sesorang,tak boleh nak pinjam bahu sesape,tissue pulak tak cukup. Despite of poor review by the critics, I love this movie.

What I like about Hamari Adhuri Kahani:

1. Emraan Hashmi's best performance ever. I started to love him after watching this film. He can act,tapi movie movie dia before ni semua tak best dan tak menarik perhatian sis (except for Ungli). Siapa yang tengok this film and tak cair dengan Emraan,sah gila. Watak Aarav maybe nampak biasa,tapi bukan senang nak kasi penonton nangis bila tengok the actor nangis. Emraan totally nailed it.

2. Vidya Balan as Vasudha, never failed to impress me with her acting. Watak apa je yang Vidya tak boleh buat,semua boleh. Love her character that stood up for herself at the end of the story.

3. If Mithoon is composing the music, you know the soundtracks will be damn good. The title track, Humnava and Hasi are my favourite songs in this film.

4. I love love love love the story. Dah la hindustan sekarang tak banyak love story yang ching ching air mata bercucuran,so bila dah ada ni kena hargai lebih sikit.

What I dislike about Hamari Adhuri Kahani:

1. I wish for happy ending sebenarnya. Sayangnya Emraan and Vidya mati dalam movie ni.

2. Scene percintaan Aarav and Vasudha tu 21 tahun lepas (sebab anak Vasudha baca diari ayah dia (Hari) and throwback ke 21 tahun lalu) tapi ada samsung s5,skype,range rover. Tak logik kat situ. Sama ada the director memang saja buat macam tu or dia silap besar.

Overall, 7.5/10 for Hamari Adhuri Kahani. Kalau lebih sikit scene romantik,sis dah bagi 8/10.

IIFA 2015 Part 2 : IIFA Main Awards

Since we can't meet our favourite stars during the gala screening, we decided to go to Putra Indoor Stadium early. The event was scheduled to start at 7.30pm, but you know crazy fans (including us!) arrived at the stadium at 3pm! For the first time in my life I have waited for more than 4 hours under the scorching sun to meet RANVEER SINGH!

While we were waiting for the celebrities, the journalist from Astro BollyOne interviewed us and asking few questions about IIFA. "Which celebrity that you want to meet tonight?" Of course I said Ranveer and Arjun! "Who's going to win tonight?" and I said Shahid Kapoor for Haider!

We were upset because the crew won't allow us to enter the green carpet area. All of us need to wait at the outside to watch the arrival of the celebrities. The first to arrive was ANIL KAPOOR. Can't believe he's already 59 because he doesn't look like one.

Then other celebrities arrived at the green carpet. We saw Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Grover, Jacky and Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Anurag Kasyap, Zoya Akhtar, Shefali Shah, Rahul Bose, Anushka Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor,Hrithik Roshan and many more. The highlight of the day of course the arrival of Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Almost cried because I can't believe I met my favourite jodi Ranveer and Deepika.

Who cares about SRK or Salman when people keep chanting RANVEER! RANVEER! RANVEER! when Ranveer Singh came out from the car. Who cares about bebo when people are screaming out loud when Deepika's car arrived at the green carpet and keep asking where's Priyanka Chopra.

Decided to enter the stadium after Deepika arrived because there're so many fans keep pushing us and of course it's annoying. On our way to the stadium's entrance we saw Sonu Sood's car and he gave a personal flying kiss to us!

The show started at 9 pm (1.5 hour late behinde the schedule). The "Zindagi Na Milege Dobara" opening act by Ranveer and Arjun were the best! Better than last year's opening act by Shahid and Farhan. Their parody of dola re dola from devdas were hilarious! They ended their opening act with tune maari entriyaan and both of us can't control ourselves and sing along with them!

Despite of everything that has been said about the hosts on that night (they failed to impress,their jokes were irrelevant bla bla bla), they already did their best to entertainment all of us for 6 hours! I bet no one can be a host and cracked a joke for 6 hours like them. Some of their jokes are :

Arjun : Even in Ranveer's life,everything stems from the pelvis, uska naam hona chahiye tha pelvis presley

Arjun : What will Priyanka Chopra's website be called? Ranveer : Mary dot Kom!

Ranveer : Last year Anushka Sharma was seen in PK. This year, she's being seen with VK (Virat Kohli).

Ranveer : Where is Emraan Hashmi. He must not be visible because he played invisible man in Mr X. And our Shahid Kapoor is 'Mr Sab ka Ex'.

Arjun : Bipasha, why have you come Alone? Why don't you bring any Creature along with you?

They also made a joke on Ranbir Kapoor's Roy by saying "The film should be called 'Destroy' and not Roy." kakakaka

Let's not forget the epic performance by Parineeti Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Hrithik Roshan. Didie and i were singing,dancing,screaming from our seats. Didn't bother other people looked at us hohoho. My favourite performance was Sonakshi's! Don't want to talk much about the performances. You guys should watch it by yourself on Astro First or at Colors TV on 5th July.

The winners on that night already meet my expectations (because I vote for them!). That hilarious moment when Ankit Tiwari came to the stage to receive best playback singer (male) award and Ranveer asked Ankit to do the voice battle with him. Obviously Ankit is the winner! Both Ranveer and Arjun made a booty dance when Kanika Kapoor sang Baby Doll after she received the best playback singer (female) award.

The most unforgettable moment that happen on that night was when Deepika came to receive the 'Woman of the Year' honour and Ranveer got down on his knees to flatter her with his romantic poetry. We were hoping he's going to propose her (well we know that's not going to happen)

Too bad we need to leave early and missed Hrithik's performance. Overall,one of the best night that i ever have. Need to thank TGV Cinemas for giving us the tickets. Met Deepika and Ranveer, I couldn't ask for more. Until today I still can't believe I already meet them. Another wish crossed off from my wishlists!

IIFA 2015 Part 1 : IIFA Gala Screening

I've been watching IIFA awards since they started this awards 16 years ago. After the success of IIFA 2014 at Florida,United States I'm sure that IIFA is coming to Asian country again and I have strong feeling that they will come to Kuala Lumpur. One day they announced this year's host for IIFA and i was right! They're coming to KL. Tak cukup dengan dengan tu, aku teka pulak tahun ni mesti Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor jadi hosts. And guess what? I was right for second time! I think I'm good at making a predictions hohoho.

For those who don't know what IIFA is all about, it is a indian film award,mainly for bollywood films. IIFA stands for International Indian Film Academy. Unlike other film awards at India, they're hosting IIFA at foreign country. Malaysia used to host IIFA at Genting Highlands 13 years ago. More about IIFA, you can click HERE.

I was so excited for IIFA 2015 until I saw the ticket's price. Too pricey for me because the cheapest is RM450. Even Taylor Swift's ticket was cheaper than that. Then I started to forget about attending IIFA and decided to watch it at home.

Suprisingly,2015 has been nice to me. During the first day of IIFA (5th June), Didiey said to me that she just won 2 tickets to IIFA Main Event on Sunday (7th June). I was so excited and been dancing in my office. Then I opened TGV Cinemas' facebook account and there's a contest to win the invition to IIFA Gala Screening of Dil Dhadakne Do. Well I guess there's no harm trying my luck in the contest. Then boom I won 2 tickets for the gala screening. Told didiey the good news and we can't believe that we're going to IIFA and meet our favourite stars.

The IIFA Gala Screening was held at TGV KLCC on Saturday (6th June). I've been dying to watch DDD since they started filming this movie. You can read my review/opinion about Dil Dhadakne Do at my previous post or click HERE.

The screening started at 8.15pm but the fans already waiting for their favourite stars since 2 pm. I arrived at 6.30pm and the amount of crowd was unbelievable. There's fans everywhere at level 3 KLCC and of course I can't saw the stage (so many tall people in front of me) and I missed the chance to meet the casts of DDD. The main casts of DDD were there except our jaan Ranveer Singh. He flew back to India to celebrate Deepika Padukone's father's birthday. But I did saw Ayushman Khurrana and his wife, Ritesh Deshmukh, Genelia Dsouza and Jacqueline Fernandez. Jac even smiled at me and Didiey!

TGV Cinema was closed for public on that day because they were using all the cinema halls for gala screening, and it was a private event. Only those who got the invitation can enter the hall. We received our tickets for both gala screening and main event at the counter. And yes another surprise for us. We won the main event's ticket that worth RM 1440. I've never been this lucky before. Graduation gift just came early hohoho.

The movie started at 8.15 pm and ended at 11.00 pm. Even though I already watched DDD a day before,I still enjoying this movie. The audiences were crazy. We were laughing and screaming so hard (never happened in cinema hall before this) because DDD was funny. We also got a free popcorn and drinks. Only realized they were giving us free popcorn and drinks after we bought one =.=

After the movie ended, we ran to the ground floor to catch our train (because the last train was at 11.30 pm). Of course we had so much fun during the screening. Felt so lucky as a bollywood fans.

Movie Talk : Dil Dhadakne Do

I've been waiting to watch this film since last year. I mean since they started filming this movie. In addition, the main casts are my favourite (especially Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra). Dil Dhadakne Do is not you typical family-theme hindi movie. DDD is something else. I watched this film 3 times,yes THREE TIMES because best gila I can watch this for thousand times. First time I watched it with my bolly twitter friends kekna and mieza on the first day it released,2nd time I watched it with didiey and the casts of Dil Dhadakne Do during the IIFA Gala Screening (entry about IIFA coming up after this entry!) and for the 3rd time I watched it alone because emm emm i just love this movie.

The Mehras - Kamal (Anil Kapoor) and his wife Neelam (Shefali Shah),together with their children Ayesha (Priyanka Chopra) and Kabir (Ranveer Singh) are dysfunctional punjabi family. Kamal always proud with himself as a self made man,that managed to build his own business empire AYKA that facing the bankruptcy. He however has troubled relationship with his wife Neelam. Ayesha married with Manav (Rahul Bose) and set up her own online travel portal. Kabir unwillingly participates in the family business and yearns to pursue a career as a pilot. Kabir has a dog named Pluto (voice by Aamir Khan).

The Mehras

To celebrate the 30th wedding anniversary of Kamal and Neelam, they invite their family and friends for 10 days cruise trip across Mediterranean. Kamal and Neelam also have another agenda during the trip which is to get Kabir married to Noorie Sood, his friend's daughter in exchange for his investing in AYKA.

In the ship, Kabir meet Farah Ali (Anushka Sharma),the dancer on the cruise and fall in love. While Noorie falls in love with Rana Khanna,a son of his father's rival. Kabir and Noorie decide to manipulate their parents to believe they're having a relationship, but continuing their respective relationships. Meanwhile Ayesha wants to get a divorce from her husband,but her parents against it. Sunny Gill (Farhan Akhtar), Ayesha's love interest before she get married with Manav join them on the cruise and she still has a feeling towards Sunny.

Farah calls off her relationship with Kabir,when Kabir's aunt tell everyone about Kabir-Noorie's engagement. Elsewhere, Kamal saw Noorie making out with Rana, and is soon rushed to the hospital due to excess stomach gas. In the hospital room, Kamal tells Kabir that he saw Noorie with Rana, and asks him to call of the engagement. Kabir, in a bout of anger, admits to his family that he knew about the couple all along, and that he is in love with Farah. He also tells them of his intention to not work in the family business anymore. Later, while trying to settle down the problem between Manav and Ayesha, Kamal see Manav misbehaving with her. He agrees to the divorce and begs Ayesha for forgiveness. Ayesha finally reunites with Sunny.

Kabir tries to persuade Farah to forgive him, but she got fired from her job and leaves the ship. Kabir realises of her fate much after the ship has set sail. Kabir jumps off the ship in hope of his family rescuing him and helping him get to the shore. Kamal, Neelam, Ayesha, and their dog Pluto find a lifeboat to rescue him. The Mehra family is seen happy in each other's presence for the first time.

What I like about Dil Dhadakne Do:

1. I must say that Farhan Akhtar did a brilliant job writing the dialogue,especially Kabir's dialogue. There's a lot of LOL moment for example "that was epic,no that was epuke!" "practical?is that what they teach you in London?to be practical? *in british accent" "auntie that is butter knife" and many more!

2. All of the main casts are damn good,especially Anil Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. DDD is Ranveer's best performance till this date after Lootera in 2013. The siblings jodi (Ranveer and Priyanka) are perfect. They look like the real life sibling. Shefali did really well as Neelam Mehra. But I wish Farhan and Anushka have more scenes in this film

3. The supporting casts really bringing up this film to the next level! It's been awhile since the last time Bollywood has a great supporting casts (I do love Hum Saath Saath Hain's supporting casts before this). I love Noorie and Rana's character, as well as Kabir and Ayesha's cousin Putlu.

4. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy did a great job for the soundtracks. I love all the songs,especially Gallan Goodiyan and Pehli Baar. One of the best soundtrack album for 2015.

5. I couldn't ask for more. Zoya Akhtar is one of the best director. First Zindagi Na Milege Dobara,now Dil Dhadakne Do. She really know how make her film different from others. I love love love the cinematography.

best line ever!

What I dislike about Dil Dhadakne Do:

1. There are few scenes that a lil bit draggy.

2. I wish Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar have more scenes so we can see the romance between Kabir-Farah and Ayesha-Sunny.

Overall, 9/10 for Dil Dhadakne Do. Some people might not like it, but I do love this film. I love Ranveer Singh even more after watching this film.

So guys, go and watch this film. After all,it's been ages since the last time Bollywood have a good family themed movie.

Rasa macam takde life betul 3 post berturut turut movie review. But I have nothing to do besides watching movies actually. Lepas internship habis, I'm working at home,bagi update pasal kerja dekat boss every friday lepastu tengok movie.

Like I mentioned in previous post, besides Bombay Velvet, I also watched Piku. Melampau kan tengok 2 movie berturut turut in one day. Masuk GSC pukul 11.30,keluar pukul 4. Lepas kecewa tengok Bombay Velvet,berlari keluar dari hall,masuk hall lain tengok Piku. Dah la lambat masuk 10 minit,nasib baik boleh catch up.

I had fun watching Piku. Dah la kelakar dari mula cerita sampai ending. Satu hall gelak tak ingat dunia.

Piku is a story of Piku Banerjee (Deepika Padukone), a bengali architect who lives in Delhi with her 70 years old father Bhashkor Banerjee (Amitabh Bachchan). Bhashkor ada masalah sembelit dan suka menyalahkan semua benda yang terjadi dalam hidup dia tu berpunca dari sembelit. Piku loves her father,tapi kekadang annoyed dengan ayah dia sendiri sebab his behaviour. Her bestfriend Syed Afroz is also her colleague and Piku is the regular client of Rana's (Irrfan Khan) taxi business.

Satu hari Piku decide nak jual rumah lama family dia dekat Kolkata,tapi dibantah oleh ayah dia. Bhashkor bantah sebab dia sayang rumah tu,and decide nak pergi Kolkata sendiri untuk cancel the deal. Piku tahu dia tak boleh biarkan ayah dia travel sorang, so dia kena temankan jugak. Bhashkor gunakan isu sembelit dia dan buat keputusan untuk travel to Kolkata by road,kononnya kalau travel by flight or train,susah nak masuk toilet.

Disebabkan Piku sangat garang dengan taxi driver sebelum ni, bila Piku booked taxi untuk pergi Kolkata,semua lari and make Rana as the owner to take his responsibility, to volunteer himself to bring Piku and her father to Kolkata.

Delhi-Kolkata bukan dekat k,1500km and it tooks 45 hours to drive. So dalam perjalanan tu macam macam insiden kelakar yang jadi (taknak cerita uols kena tengok sendiri) sampai Rana naik angin. Finally dorang sampai Kolkata, and Piku's uncle and aunt still live in their family house. Masa dekat Kolkata, Rana and Piku pergi jenjalan and become closer.

Esoknya Rana nak beli Delhi, before that dia sempat nasihat Bhashkor regarding his constipation problem and Piku about not selling the house. Piku changed her mind,tak jadi jual rumah lama tu. Bhashkor tetiba buat perangai pelik naik basikal keliling town and beli fried snack. Piku bengang dengan tindakan ayah dia, ayah dia buat buat tak dengar and masuk toilet. Then he said masalah sembelit dia dah hilang and dia perlu naik basikal hehari.

The next day, Bhashkor mati,tapi mati dalam tenang sebab dia pernah mention dia taknak mati dengan wayar dekat tangan apa semua. Piku observes that parents, however irritating they become in their old age, should not be judged. Cerita habis dengan Piku and Rana tengah main badminton.

What I love about Piku:

1. I must say this is one of the best hindi film that I have ever seen. The way the director portray the relationship between father and daughter, is brilliant. From the beginning of the story sampai ke ending (except when Bhashkor mati),aku gelak tak habis habis sebab the script kelakar gila. Bukan lawak hambar tapi lawak genius and I thanked the scriptwriter for the amazing script.

2. The cast, i must say the perfect casts. Piku is one of Deepika's best performance  (after Chennai Express and Cocktail). No doubt she is one of the most versatile actress in Bollywood. No one can pull the Piku character like her. Plus aku bias sikit bab bab Deepika ni. I'm her biggest fan and always proud of her. And of course her chemistry with Amitabh Bachchan menjadi gila. Tak payah komen pasal Big B's acting sebab dia memang legend. Irrfan Khan as Rana, is amazing. I love Irrfan sebab semua film yang dia berlakon,selamba gila dia bawak character tu.

3. Piku takde nyanyi sambil joget merentas jalan apa semua. But I love the soundtracks, especially Journey song. Anupam Roy made a great job for the music.

What I dislike about Piku :

1. Bhashkor mati. Kalau dia hidup lagi bagus. Selain dari tu, everything is perfect about this movie.

Overall, I gave 9.8/10. Kakaka jadi 9.8 sebab aku bias hal hal deepika. Gais korang kena tengok Piku gais. Must watch! Lepas tengok movie ni confirm balik rumah nak peluk ayah masing masing.

Movie Talk : Bombay Velvet

Lepas jumpa boss dekat Zee and settlekan hal bank, I decided to watch Bombay Velvet and Piku. Piku's review bakal menyusul,nak cerita Bombay Velvet dulu, as requested by didiey,kekna and ara dekat twitter. Sebenarnya boleh je review dekat twitter tapi tak cukup words.

Bombay Velvet is about Johnny Balraj (Ranbir Kapoor), a street fighter who turns mobster, Rosie Noronha (Anushka Sharma), jazz singer from Goa yang lari from her sugar daddy and Kaizad Khambata (Karan Johar), media tycoon yang sibuk nak pertahankan his business empire,dengan apa cara sekalipun.

Johhny ada satu aim je dalam hidup dia,to become "a big shot" (kaya,powerful etc). He tried to rob Kaizad tapi gagal, and Kaizad offers Johnny to run his restaurant/pub Bombay Velvet and Johhny yang tamak accepts it. In return, Johnny kena buat apa yang Kaizad suruh, including bunuh orang. Rosie dihantar oleh Jimmy Mistry (Manish Choudhary), a newspaper editor to Bombay Velvet, to ruin Kaizad's business. 

Plot twist, Rosie and Johnny fall in love. Rosie decided to betray Jimmy because she loves Johnny so much. Manusia-manusia dekat Bombay semua tamak menyebabkan menteri suruh Kaizad bunuh Johnny because he's a threat. Johnny palsukan kematian Rosie sebab nak selamatkan Rosie,tapi sayang seribu kali sayang kantoi dengan polis. 

At the end,Kaizad hantar orang untuk bunuh Johnny tapi gagal, Kaizad culik Rosie, Johnny as a hero pergi selamatkan Rosie. Kaizad tembak Rosie, Johnny marah,Kaizad tembak Johnny tapi peluru habis, Johnny tikam Kaizad sampai mati. Depan Bombay Velvet, polis tahan Johnny and tembak dia, Johnny mati. Rosie hidup, moves back to Goa and still singing for Johnny.

What I like about Bombay Velvet:

1. The background music and soundtracks, kudos to Amit Trivedi. He definitely nailed the jazz songs and musics.

2. Karan Johar as Kaizad Khambata. Besides the music, Kjo's acting are the saving grace of this movie. Aku lagi excited tengok Kjo berlakon dari Ranbir. Part Kjo gelak masa Ranbir tak faham english tu sumpah lawak. 

3. Bombay Velvet's set and costumes. Anushka Sharma's costumes semua lawa lawa,especially the white gown nak satu please.

What I dislike about Bombay Velvet:

1. Where to start eh? banyak benda aku tak suka pasal movie ni. K memula the story. 2 jam setengah macam takde arah tuju,aku siap menguap lepastu menyesal sebab beli tiket.

2. Berape kali Ranbir kena bawak watak degil? After Rockstar, Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, can Ranbir actually bawak watak lain sikit. Haritu kecewa tengok dia in Roy, harini double kecewa tengok dia dalam Bombay Velvet. Ranbir seriously need to think about his career sebab there's many young actors out there who shinier than him like Sushant, Ranveer, even Ayushman!

3. Membazir buat set props memahal habis berjuta tapi tak tunjuk the whole city pun. And boleh nampak banyak scene kena buang. Padanlah Raveena Tandon bising.

4. Kalau bukak youtube ada music video Mohabbat Buri Bimari, tapi dalam movie takde sebab dah cut scene tu. Plus, in the movie bukan Anushka yang nyanyi tapi Raveena

5. Story dia simple je, pasal tamak and love. Tak paham macam mana the original duration boleh jadi 3.5 hours, dengan jalan cerita gitu, boleh habis dalam sejam setengah je

Overall, 5.5/10 for Bombay Velvet. Sebenarnya nak bagi 3/10 tapi extra 2.5 for the music and Karan Johar's act.

Kalau rasa nak pergi tengok,better don't. Tunggu download je. Serious macam nak refund balik duit tiket. I love Ranbir and Anushka, but Bombay Velvet dah bazirkan their talent, especially Ranbir's.

Movie Talk : Kahaani

I’ve been planning to review this movie since last week tapi biasalah dari dulu lagi yasmin bila bab update blog memang malas. Sebab tu blog ni terbiar sampai 2 tahun. So the first movie that I’m gonna review in this blog is mystery-thriller KAHAANI.

Actually movie ni dah lama dah,about 3 years ago. But i just watched Kahaani 2 weeks ago sebab curious apa yang power sangat pasal Kahaani ni sampai dapat award berjela jela,and rating tinggi dekat IMDB. Oh penting untuk bagitau siapa music director sebab kalau engko die hard fan bollywood movies, wajib tahu nama music director sebab music and hindi movie berpisah tiada.

The story is about Vidya Baghci, a pregnant software engineer that went to Kolkata 2 years after Kolkata Metro Rail's poison gas attack incident, in search of her missing husband, Arnab Baghci. A police officer, Satyoki "Rana" Sinha offered to help her to search her husband. Nama pun mystery thriller maka bukan senang nak cari and track down Arnab Baghci ni. Kemana saja Vidya dan Rana pergi untuk siasat, no one claims that they met Arnab before.

What I like about Kahaani :

1. The main character, Vidya Balan of course. If you're a fan of hindi cinema, you know that Vidya is sooo talented and never make the audience disappointed with her performance. And I kinda agree with the director Sujoy Ghosh, no one can pulled this character like Vidya did. Kahaani is basically belongs to Vidya. Lakonan Vidya yang buat aku stay depan laptop for 2 hours and tak bergerak langsung.

 

2. Movie ni banyak plot twist, punyalah banyak plot twist sampai aku tak sangka ending dia macam mana. Tak sangka at the end Vidya ni bukan pregnant pun, and memang husband dia dah mati 2 tahun lepas masa poison gas attack. Motif dia pergi Kolkata sebab nak balas dendam dekat the guy who responsible for her husband's death sajo. And surprisingly ketua Intelligence Bureau adalah dalang semua ni. 

3. The story. Lemme be honest aku tak suka cerita yang ada plot twist. But Sujoy Ghosh berjaya buat cerita yang banyak plot twist jadi menarik. 

What I dislike about Kahaani:

1. Walaupun banyak plot twist, cerita dia simple je,tapi duration 2 jam lebih tu macam terlampau panjang. Patut boleh pendek sikit so takdelah aku saspen memanjang


Overall, 9.5/10 for Kahaani. 

Engko kena tengok because this is not a typical hindi movie. And memang layak la Vidya Balan bolot semua best actress award sebab she's damn good!
