IIFA 2015 Part 2 : IIFA Main Awards

Since we can't meet our favourite stars during the gala screening, we decided to go to Putra Indoor Stadium early. The event was scheduled to start at 7.30pm, but you know crazy fans (including us!) arrived at the stadium at 3pm! For the first time in my life I have waited for more than 4 hours under the scorching sun to meet RANVEER SINGH!

While we were waiting for the celebrities, the journalist from Astro BollyOne interviewed us and asking few questions about IIFA. "Which celebrity that you want to meet tonight?" Of course I said Ranveer and Arjun! "Who's going to win tonight?" and I said Shahid Kapoor for Haider!

We were upset because the crew won't allow us to enter the green carpet area. All of us need to wait at the outside to watch the arrival of the celebrities. The first to arrive was ANIL KAPOOR. Can't believe he's already 59 because he doesn't look like one.

Then other celebrities arrived at the green carpet. We saw Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Grover, Jacky and Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Anurag Kasyap, Zoya Akhtar, Shefali Shah, Rahul Bose, Anushka Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor,Hrithik Roshan and many more. The highlight of the day of course the arrival of Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Almost cried because I can't believe I met my favourite jodi Ranveer and Deepika.

Who cares about SRK or Salman when people keep chanting RANVEER! RANVEER! RANVEER! when Ranveer Singh came out from the car. Who cares about bebo when people are screaming out loud when Deepika's car arrived at the green carpet and keep asking where's Priyanka Chopra.

Decided to enter the stadium after Deepika arrived because there're so many fans keep pushing us and of course it's annoying. On our way to the stadium's entrance we saw Sonu Sood's car and he gave a personal flying kiss to us!

The show started at 9 pm (1.5 hour late behinde the schedule). The "Zindagi Na Milege Dobara" opening act by Ranveer and Arjun were the best! Better than last year's opening act by Shahid and Farhan. Their parody of dola re dola from devdas were hilarious! They ended their opening act with tune maari entriyaan and both of us can't control ourselves and sing along with them!

Despite of everything that has been said about the hosts on that night (they failed to impress,their jokes were irrelevant bla bla bla), they already did their best to entertainment all of us for 6 hours! I bet no one can be a host and cracked a joke for 6 hours like them. Some of their jokes are :

Ranveer : In Bollywood,everything stems from the pelvis

Arjun : Even in Ranveer's life,everything stems from the pelvis, uska naam hona chahiye tha pelvis presley

Arjun : What will Priyanka Chopra's website be called? Ranveer : Mary dot Kom!

Ranveer : Last year Anushka Sharma was seen in PK. This year, she's being seen with VK (Virat Kohli).

Ranveer : Where is Emraan Hashmi. He must not be visible because he played invisible man in Mr X. And our Shahid Kapoor is 'Mr Sab ka Ex'.

Arjun : Bipasha, why have you come Alone? Why don't you bring any Creature along with you?

They also made a joke on Ranbir Kapoor's Roy by saying "The film should be called 'Destroy' and not Roy." kakakaka

Let's not forget the epic performance by Parineeti Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Hrithik Roshan. Didie and i were singing,dancing,screaming from our seats. Didn't bother other people looked at us hohoho. My favourite performance was Sonakshi's! Don't want to talk much about the performances. You guys should watch it by yourself on Astro First or at Colors TV on 5th July.

The winners on that night already meet my expectations (because I vote for them!). That hilarious moment when Ankit Tiwari came to the stage to receive best playback singer (male) award and Ranveer asked Ankit to do the voice battle with him. Obviously Ankit is the winner! Both Ranveer and Arjun made a booty dance when Kanika Kapoor sang Baby Doll after she received the best playback singer (female) award.

The most unforgettable moment that happen on that night was when Deepika came to receive the 'Woman of the Year' honour and Ranveer got down on his knees to flatter her with his romantic poetry. We were hoping he's going to propose her (well we know that's not going to happen)

Too bad we need to leave early and missed Hrithik's performance. Overall,one of the best night that i ever have. Need to thank TGV Cinemas for giving us the tickets. Met Deepika and Ranveer, I couldn't ask for more. Until today I still can't believe I already meet them. Another wish crossed off from my wishlists!

IIFA 2015 Part 1 : IIFA Gala Screening

I've been watching IIFA awards since they started this awards 16 years ago. After the success of IIFA 2014 at Florida,United States I'm sure that IIFA is coming to Asian country again and I have strong feeling that they will come to Kuala Lumpur. One day they announced this year's host for IIFA and i was right! They're coming to KL. Tak cukup dengan dengan tu, aku teka pulak tahun ni mesti Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor jadi hosts. And guess what? I was right for second time! I think I'm good at making a predictions hohoho.

For those who don't know what IIFA is all about, it is a indian film award,mainly for bollywood films. IIFA stands for International Indian Film Academy. Unlike other film awards at India, they're hosting IIFA at foreign country. Malaysia used to host IIFA at Genting Highlands 13 years ago. More about IIFA, you can click HERE.

I was so excited for IIFA 2015 until I saw the ticket's price. Too pricey for me because the cheapest is RM450. Even Taylor Swift's ticket was cheaper than that. Then I started to forget about attending IIFA and decided to watch it at home.

Suprisingly,2015 has been nice to me. During the first day of IIFA (5th June), Didiey said to me that she just won 2 tickets to IIFA Main Event on Sunday (7th June). I was so excited and been dancing in my office. Then I opened TGV Cinemas' facebook account and there's a contest to win the invition to IIFA Gala Screening of Dil Dhadakne Do. Well I guess there's no harm trying my luck in the contest. Then boom I won 2 tickets for the gala screening. Told didiey the good news and we can't believe that we're going to IIFA and meet our favourite stars.

The IIFA Gala Screening was held at TGV KLCC on Saturday (6th June). I've been dying to watch DDD since they started filming this movie. You can read my review/opinion about Dil Dhadakne Do at my previous post or click HERE.

Met Didiey for the first time after being friends since last year on Twitter

The screening started at 8.15pm but the fans already waiting for their favourite stars since 2 pm. I arrived at 6.30pm and the amount of crowd was unbelievable. There's fans everywhere at level 3 KLCC and of course I can't saw the stage (so many tall people in front of me) and I missed the chance to meet the casts of DDD. The main casts of DDD were there except our jaan Ranveer Singh. He flew back to India to celebrate Deepika Padukone's father's birthday. But I did saw Ayushman Khurrana and his wife, Ritesh Deshmukh, Genelia Dsouza and Jacqueline Fernandez. Jac even smiled at me and Didiey!

TGV Cinema was closed for public on that day because they were using all the cinema halls for gala screening, and it was a private event. Only those who got the invitation can enter the hall. We received our tickets for both gala screening and main event at the counter. And yes another surprise for us. We won the main event's ticket that worth RM 1440. I've never been this lucky before. Graduation gift just came early hohoho.

The movie started at 8.15 pm and ended at 11.00 pm. Even though I already watched DDD a day before,I still enjoying this movie. The audiences were crazy. We were laughing and screaming so hard (never happened in cinema hall before this) because DDD was funny. We also got a free popcorn and drinks. Only realized they were giving us free popcorn and drinks after we bought one =.=

After the movie ended, we ran to the ground floor to catch our train (because the last train was at 11.30 pm). Of course we had so much fun during the screening. Felt so lucky as a bollywood fans.
